Group errands so one outing covers the shop, the post, and the pharmacy. For commuting, a slightly smoother pace and properly inflated tires use less fuel than a series of hard accelerations. Transit passes pay off when you actually ride often enough to beat single fares. Do that math once.

Warehouse fuel discounts and grocery fuel points are worth using when you are already there. Driving across town only for a small discount can erase it.
